Raw Mango or maangai Fry for Rice

Raw mangoes are undoubtedly one of summer's best offerings. Everyone most probably make pickle or rice out of it. Some people like biting cut mango with salt and chilli powder. It is best snack during summer. For a difference, we add some extra flavor in it and try to use as mixing for rice. Off course, it is delicious, mouth-watering and yummy recipe.

Ingredients Required:

Raw Mango - 1
Oil for seasoning
Mustard Urad dal mix - 1 tsp
Asafoetida/hing - 1/4 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
Salt as required
Coriander leaves - 3 to 4 for garnishing

Steps to cook:
Peel off the top skin of the raw mango.

Cut into small cubes.

Heat a pan and 4 to 5 tsp of oil. Peanut oil is best to use. Once oil hot add mustard urad dal mix.

Once mustard starts splutter, add cubed mangoes and fry it for a minute.

Then add Asafoetida and mix it. Then add 1/4 tsp turmeric powder and 1 tsp red chilli powder and fry it.

Let it cook this until raw mango become soft.
Finally add required salt and give a mix.

Now, garnish with coriander leaves and serve with rice.
