Eating too much soy beans not good for men



Soy diets like soybeans, soya chunks, soybean seeds, soya bean milk can affect sperm production in men.

Recent research suggests that a high intake of soy foods may affect sperm production in men.

The number of sperm cells found in men who eat soy is known to be lower than in men who do not eat soy. This research is done by giving 15 types of soy foods to men. Men who ate frequent soy were found to have 41 million sperm cells/ml of semen (in fluid), which is significantly lower than the average sperm count of 66 million / milliliters of sperm.

The isoflavones in soy foods are said to play an important role in this process. The phytoestrogens found in soy foods and some plant foods have a similar effect on the estrogen hormone found in women, which is said to affect sperm count in men, sperm motility, sperm quality, ultimately sexual desire.

But a recent study of the soy diet found that it had nothing to do with the motility of sperm cells, the morphology of sperm cells, and the amount of sperm flow.


It is also known that sperm counts are lower in overweight men than in normal ones.

The results of this research came in a science journal recently. But when a report read about soy food, at a science conference in 2005, it was rejected by the North American Soy Food Federation. One of the main reasons given by them in this report is that research papers on this subject have never been submitted in any scientific journal (Fraser’s findings have not been published in a peer-reviewed journal).
