It is hoped that the project will be made possible by providing seeds, bio-fertilizers and natural inputs to the farmers. Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has also approved this.

In the official statement issued regarding this project, "The state government has emphasized its commitment to promote organic farming. Participating farmers in this scheme will receive the necessary resources to convert their land to organic farming. They will also promote an environmentally friendly and healthy approach to agriculture".

Conversion of 1.20 lakh hectares of land to organic farming is expected to bring significant benefits to farmers in the state. An estimated cost of Rs 23.57 crore has been estimated for this project. The scheme will help farmers to cultivate crops on their land using natural methods, avoiding the use of artificial fertilizers and pesticides which are harmful to the environment and human health.

Under this initiative 50,000 organic farmers will each get Rs. 5,000 as incentive. The government has said that through this, more farmers will get an opportunity to convert themselves into organic farmers. Recognizing the need for comprehensive planning and implementation, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has approved an allocation of Rs 5 crore from state funds in the first phase. The fund is said to be used for various activities related to the organic farming scheme including selection of farmers, formation of farmer groups, training sessions for primary trainers.

Hopefully other states in India follow the similar scheme and do favor for farming and farmers???
