Cluster beans is one of the best inter crop during the winter season. Our 
traditional people used to harvest this cluster beans and use for making the dry 
recipes which used to go well with soaked water rice, Millet porridge, etc. If it is 
excess, they dry in sunlight and stored it for later use. Whenever required, they 
made deep fry and used as side dish. Today we will see the Cluster beans 
poriyal/vepudu.

Ingredients:

Cluster beans - 250 gm
Onion - 1
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Urad dal - 1 tsp
Chana dal - 1 tsp
Red chilli - 4
Curry leaves - 1 spring
Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
Coriander powder - 1tsp
Grated coconut - 2 tsp
Coriander leaves for garnishing
Oil for seasoning
Salt for taste

Steps:

Wash the cluster beans and cut into pieces.

Grind the cluster beans slightly in the mixer grinder. It should be coarse.

Heat 4 tsp of oil in a pan. Once oil hot add mustard seeds and urad dal. Once 
mustard start spluttering add broken red chilli and chana dal.
Once Chana dal turns into golden in color, add chopped onion and curry leaves.

Stir it until the onion gets translucent. Now add the ground cluster beans and stir
it.

Then add coriander powder, chilli powder, salt and stir it.

Cook for five minutes. If required just sprinkle some water.
Once cluster beans cooked, add grated coconut and stir it.
Garnish with coriander leaves.
Now wonderful and easy cluster beans poriyal/vepudu is ready to serve.
